Fired up Wargroove tonight, playing on Nintendo Switch and I really like it. It’s stratching that Advance Wars itch and seems to have a ton of stuff to do.
Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP). A fair way into it and liking it a lot. Seems to be a step up in most aspects compared to the first game, which I really wanted to like but on top of having many messy mechanics it took a lot more investment to get any fun out of them. More streamlined and fine-tuned in this sequel.
It is a bit on the easy side, but haven't minded that so much because of the variety in battles. All the attack types, being able to swap personas between reserves and team members, fusion combos and of course negotiations with demons. Been enjoying the story and characters a lot too.
Back to AC Origins tonight. I really do like this game. Finding leveling up much quicker this time, currently lvl 23. Killed The Scarab, finished the first part of Aya's story (arguably the worst parts of the game), now back to exploring. Decided to grab two trophies. One for raining bugs in the desert and the other for opening up the entire map.
Going to get slowly drunk on some cheap cider from Tesco, (it's actually better than expected), then maybe play a bit of DOA 6.
Picked up 3 trophies on Origins. The two I mentioned above and the "I can see my house from here" trophy for climbing the highest peak in the Black Desert.
DayZ as usual, got killed Friday night up in Tisy (highest loot tier area about 2-3hrs trek from coast). While starving we killed a cow and when cooking it in a house we got ambushed, problem was, I was AFK, I came back to see I was dead, Grenade most likely. Anyway we back at airport and looted up again, I shall continue tonight with mates.
In between I’ve gone back to the Witcher, I finished it on my OG Xbox so it’s a new game plus but now in 4K on my X, looks stunning. Paying more attention to alchemy now and as enemies are rock hard it’s quite the challenge, I fully prepare my weapons and oils now.
AC Origins was amazing, I enjoy Odyssey but its too big for its own good. I finished Origins so I can’t really do much more there.

Yep it's top drawer. Odyssey is good, but as you suggest it's a huge game and arguably to it's own detriment.
Must get back to playing TW3. Bought it in a GOG sale and haven't returned to it since the Bloody Baron quest line.
Making my way through the underground section in Concrete Genie. Beautiful game that provides good vibes on tap - doubly so when seeing your genies come to life and partake in unique interactions. It genuinely brings about a strong bond between you and your creations/companions and I always look forward to adding yet more to my ever-expanding family.
Finished Halo Wars 2's campaign, think I preferred the first one overall. It was decent enough fun though it was a bit short and the difficulty seemed quite uneven - I found the defence missions to be much more challenging than the rest. I enjoyed the mission variety, but I did feel like my hands were tied a bit too often. Pretty epic cut-scene at one point!
Doom (Switch) - Still loving this since the recent update. I've been working through the Add-on WADs that they have included so far, there's nothing I haven't played before but it's still nice to play something other than the original levels whilst on the go!
Sigil was considerably harder than when I played it on PC - both as a result of some of the tweaks that Romero has made to it since then as well as the game just being that little but harder to control using the sticks compared to a keyboard and mouse. Still a hell of a lot of fun though!
I loved Doom on the Switch, was my first time playing it so couldn’t compare it to the other platforms but except a little bit of slowdown in places I found it very good overall.
Currently still cracking on with WRC 8, trying to get out of the junior WRC category to WRC 2, just a great racing game overall.
Doom is just one of those games that'll never age for me. My wife and I played the original in co-op a couple of years ago and it was her first time ever playing it. I didn't know what she'd think but she ended up really loving it. Felt good. I'm currently playing through Doom 2 on the Switch and it's as good as ever.
Returned to NFS Shift before I go to work. It's almost bizarre playing an EA title where I'm not being bombarded with DLC/Microtransactions every 5 minutes. How times have changed.
Anyway, really good racer. Might pick up the sequel at some point.
Latest I've been playing (aside from GTA Online and Farming Simulator) is the Harry Potter Collection on the Xbox One as part of the LEGO gaming spree I'm currently on. Having finished up with City Undercover and jumped over to Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, I decided to tackle both games of Harry Potter just before the end of the new year. I aim to get both complete before Skywalker Saga releases, though I think I can easily fit Jurassic World in there was well.
As well as that, I've been playing Littlewood today, an indie RPG about building a town and recovering the memories you lost after having beaten the final boss. Pretty quirky, if limited, though it has the same sort of self-goal oriented nature as Forager.
Started Uncharted - Lost Legacy. Only a few hours in (although I gather it’s a much smaller campaign than 4) but really enjoying it so far. The setting is great and so is Chloe
