I wonder if being a woman will affect some people's tolerance of the Doctors twattishness. In my experience people tend to put up with a lot more of it from males. See Star Trek.
Doctors can be female...
I didn't mean "Doctor" but after all these years it's very easy to refer to him as a him because he is a he but now he isn't a he so now I can't. I mean I will likely refer to the 13th Doctor as a she because she is a she but when I talk about he/she in its he/she entirety its going to get really annoying.
Surely the doctor is referred to as "the/they" no him or her.

If your sensible and intelligent then yeah. But sir, I am not. Be interesting to go back and observe even how the producers talk about "him" as a collective. "They" implies (well to me anyway) a separation of the each Doctor. I'm not sure this is ideal in some contexts. Is there a word that replace he/her/she/him etc? "It" sounds rude. I remember this post of mine and having to read it through a few times just to make sure I'd got my his and hers correct.

The Watching Artist wrote:My first two issues with last nights ep..... Why oh why did they give them the stompy sound? ERRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH. Also I struggled to get into the Doctor tries to make Missy good thing. Mainly that scene with the bacon. To simplify the past actions of the Master to eating bacon was laughable. We are talking about someone who has committed mass murder on the scale of billions of people. For gooseberry fools and giggles. I mean his actions lead to this in which an entire part of the universe gets eaten away.
A strawberry floating bacon roll.
Stompy sound annoyed me as well, but I'll get over that.
Not sure I agree on the bacon roll issue though. I'd need to re-watch that bit but I don't recall the analogy being used to explain the full extent of the Missy's past behaviour, more as a direct retort to Bill's labelling of her as a murderer. The Time Lord's have been established assignificantly more advanced than most (if not all) other entities encountered in the universe, I can totally get the argument that in Missy's world view the killing of a human is no more murder than a human killing a pig. Or to put it another way - if pigs could talk they'd probably label us as murderers just as readily as Bill does with Missy!
Still think it was a cracking episode, can't believe how much better a character Missy is now than when she first arrived - couldn't stand her at first.
The stompy sound better not be a big thing for them next week. It really doesn't suit them.
Bacon..... Maybe. I can see that. But then the Master does it to inflict pain and misery on others whilst also satisfying his own narcissistic power games. Bill calls her a murderer because thats what she is. And she doesn't just kill people, she tortures them. Bill is basically telling him that she doesn't trust Missy. He effectively tells her to get off her high horse because she eats meat. I found it really jarring to see the Doctor so blatantly gloss over this. A few weeks back he was punching a bloke in the 1800s for being racist. Now he is like genocide is the same as the food chain. I need to watch it again to. It was late. I don't think its helped by the fact that the Master being good and is a friend of the Doctor thing has been done better by Big Finish. Check out the story "Master" its on the Hexx list I think. Its a McCoy story.
I did love the build up and the stuff in the hospital. I've been saying for ages that the Cybermen, well, it should be like taking the wrong turn in a hospital and finding a ward you were never meant to see. I sort of wish they had left it so Bill didn't turn up the volume again though. Just left him tapping away for those paying attention. Just hope Sats ep doesn't end up being Dark Water's Death in Heaven. Actually a lot in common. Cybermen return (we know about) plus Master/Missy reveal at the end. It was fairly obvious Missy was the Master as well.
Take this bit-
If he accepts it and River is clearly talking about him beyond just 10. But his whole character and life. Its just one of those things in language. I'm even doing it writing this.

Where are people finding all these sexist comments? Only one that is apparent to me is the BBC headline ignoring the person, and just declaring the new Doctor is a woman.
Honestly, screw all the pudding brains who have a problem with it. If the Doctors were real, I expect they'd be especially disappointed with any of the supposed NuWho fans complaining about a female Doctor, it's as if they haven't been paying any attention.
