Just watched some footage of these on YouTube now. Yeah, that's bad! :dread:

Oh god the disappointment of the vita versions still hurts. Input lag in a platformer.

All the launch accessories (except for the controller) have now had their release dates moved forward to the 12th to join all the launch games.

Don't forget the added motion controls (that they then locked a trophy behind in TPL). And the second shoulder buttons mapping to the back touchpad - as if the street races in Jak 2 weren't hard enough.

I did platinum TPL on Vita, but I gave up on Jak II very quickly because of the shoulder buttons. My dream of a handheld Jak series, dashed :'(

At least you can play Daxter and The Lost Frontier on Vita with no problems (Daxter's PS2 interactivity aside).

I'm not sure if it has been announced, but I wonder how the PS4 compatibility will work on PS5? I'm thinking in terms of actually running the games; whether PS4 games will just appear alongside your PS5 titles and if you'll need to "turn on" some sort of PS4 mode... or just select and run them as normal?

I would have expected them to just run as normal, just like PS5 games

By far the most infuriating thing about this, although it's a brilliant marvel they crammed 4 GameCube controller ports and both memory card slots, is bootin GC games on Wii. Put in GC disk, start console, have to find a damn Wii controller that has batteries left just to press A and start the game with a real controller that's already connected.

Just enable GC controller support in the startup screen ffs!! It's even supported in Smash so why not the OS? Bizarre.

The startup sound was already revealed back when they first showed a glimpse of the UI in the presentation that revealed how the console looks

It's pretty forgettable, nothing beats the PS1.

Ps1 sound was godly. This new one sounds like it should have someone saying Hi de hi! after it.

Edit: calling it now - the reward for finishing the astrobot thing is being able to pick a classic start-up sound/style.
