I can understand subtle racism getting through filters, but some of these posts are just flat out N-words being jizzed out with gay abandon.
Vile website, its a platform for hatespeech, and bullying. I don't see why it should be allowed to keep going. Nothing good comes from twitter.
Social media for its many faults allows for a much more diverse discourse and connections than traditional media can possibly allow for, both in the sense of capability and active gatekeeping of what is considered worthy of national attention.
Without Twitter, does Tyrone Mings get to respond to a hypocritical, racist government? Without Twitter do racists suddenly realise racism is wrong? Does the right wing press stop with editorials and opinion pieces demonising certain minority groups and downplaying how prevalent and ingrained that bigotry is?
