Was listening to today's Wrestling Observer Radio and Dave Meltzer was talking about this UFC Reebok sponsorship deal. Didn't realise they have already changed it from originally being sponsor money based on rankings to the amount of fights you've had with the company. Brendan Schaub was saying that before this he'd make $100k from sponsor money but now he'd only make $10k. Sounds like pretty much everyone is pissed off with it.

Regarding this UFC sponsorship clusterfuck, why are the UFC so reluctant to pay their fighters well? :fp:

Just pay them enough so they can train full time with proper coaches/camps. There'll be fewer injuries and better fights, and everybody wins. The state of the some of the camps/trainers is shocking for supposedly elite-level athletes, and when they're scraping around for an extra couple of thousand dollars sponsorship money, surely that has to be a sign that things need changing.

I stopped watching UFC when they moved away from a max of one card a month. I cant keep up with the fight nights, the feeder fight nights, the reality shows, blah blah blah. Give me one solid card a month of all gold and Ill happily pay my PPV or subscription or whatever.

They've killed so many peoples interest thanks to this.

3 weekends left in May...3 UFC events left in May.
4 UFC events in June.
6 in July. :slol:

There are 5 title fights in there, but those fights are happening across 3 events. :fp:

Anyone else be watching the DeGale Dirrell fight tomorrow? On Sky Sports 1 and should kick off at a good time for a US fight - prob about 10pm or so I'd guess since I think the undercards start at 8.

You got this on? Thoroughly enjoying the fight.

Missed the first half as I was out and for some reason adamant it started after 10.

So only saw Dirrell winning it but was fairly entertaining, don't really see either as truly top tier boxers despite degale evidently believing he's the most gooseberry fool hot boxer since Ali.

UFC actually sounded good last night!
