Easy
Task 1
a) Watched Harper’s Island. It wasn’t great, but slagging it off reminds me of that bit in Arrested Development when Michael opens the bag with ‘Dead Dove’ written on it – what was I expecting?
b) Later, I watched Storyville: How the Beatles Rocked the Kremlin. It was alright, but Iplayer is a bit jerky with my dodgy net connection, so I only watched half of it cos the picture was starting to get on my wick. Partial Get?
Task 2
I entered this competition:

Medium
Task 1
I put some comic books up for sale. No takers yet, but I remain quietly optimistic.
Task 2
Photos of trees.
An interesting tree, I think.
Sort of a tree crucifix.
If a tree falls in the forest but no-one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Yes.
Hard
Task 1
I emailed a friend of mine who lives in Germany, who I haven’t spoken to since I left the place in 2006. He mailed back to bring me up to date with what he’s up to, mentioning he has a girlfriend now; in fact it was almost as if he was boasting about it. Nonetheless, I email him again, politely congratulating him. He gets back in touch and invites me to go and visit him in Frankfurt. A positive experience.
Task 2
I realise this task is all about stepping outside your comfort zone and trying new things, and that’s an idea to be applauded. In the end though, I simply couldn’t be bothered to do this task. As a kind of halfway house I was going to photoshop a balloon animal onto that photo of me standing next to a pornographic actress in a transparent attempt to copy that wacky Drunken Master, but I’m using a Mac and it hasn’t got any paint software on it.
I accept this has been a mediocre attempt. Don’t worry, I’m just warming up. I’m sure that by week four I’ll be up to all sorts; learning Swahili, tap dancing, perhaps even successfully using a public urinal while another person stands beside me. It’s going to be the best.
