I for one welcome our Metal Gear Solid fanboy overlords.

Oh alright, I liked it too, apart from that batshit mental last hour or so.

No need, besides even if you do like MGS2, this is the same console that had Resident Evil 4 which is really what makes the original comment so silly.

I know how we can settle this.

Leon or Solid Snake?

Snake, easily.

MGS2 - 1
Resi 4 - 0

Then you deduct a point for Raiden. Making the scores even for two brilliant games. 8-)

But Snake's in it for about 10 minutes, so we deduct another point for that and Resi wins, sorry. :(

In that case you will have to watch me play MGS2, I will create more Snake content than you thought possible, because I call him on the codec every minute or so.

Was it the Xbox version where you could play as Snake for the whole game?

It's the MGS2 Substance.

There's "Snake Tales" where you play as Snake in the Shell, seeing what he's up during the Big Shell mission. All the pre mission/codecs are limited to one long text reading, and the missions itself are very, very short.

After completing that, I didn't have the urge to play those missions again. It's nowhere as decent as the main game, apart from filling in storylines.

The Tales don't fit in anything though, all were crap (except Meryl's one)

They were quite pointless, no realistic connection to the story at all.

...Said Snake, as he got out of the VR simulation machine having taken pictures of a giant sea monster.

MGS2 6-0 Resi 4.

We can eliminate the story for being a load of convoluted bollocks, and the gameplay for being short bursts of broken controls interrupted by codec conversations filling in the convoluted bollocks story. I'll give you the characters one, but only because I hate Leon.

Is there a scenario where Snake have to take a photo of a giant soldier leaping out of the waters? :fp:  :fp:
