The scores on Metacritic currently range (across all formats) from 40 to 100.

As ever, probably best to avoid looking at the overall Metacritic score for anything more than a rough overall impression and instead decide if the gameplay and storyline appeals to your own tastes.

I'd like to try it out but will be awaiting a sale to do so!

Yeah the 40 is definitely the odd review out as all the rest have been nowhere near as damning. Overall it looks exactly the sort of game I have been looking for so I’m happy I was able to grab the Gold Edition for a good price.

SwitchUp gave it 84% after a patch dropped which vastly improved the performance.

I've picked it up, primarily for my daughter who's rinsed Breathe of the Wild to death.

I've added back to my rental list after watching the Super Bunnyhop review. Bugger knows if I'll get a proper chance to play it this year though.

Very tempted to pick this up looks like it could fix some of the issues with what I had with BotW (like weapon degradation), Only £31 for the Switch version or £35 for PS4 on eBay with a new 20% discount.

Looks like CDKeys aren’t selling this until release date. Ah well, according to the Xbox store it’s only 30GB anyway, so pre-loading isn’t such an issue.

I have a feeling this is going to bomb. I didn't even know this was coming out this week until I saw Gamecentral's review (8/10) and the name is awful.

Ubisoft really should have spaced these games out really, having all 3 big open world games dropping within a month or so seems a bit silly.

It's madness. I still haven't completed Oddyssey's DLC.

I'm not getting it as I am playing assassin's creed, I won't be the only one. I can see them having different core target audiences though

Sadly I think this will be the case, particularly on ps/Xbox thanks to assassin's creed (I'd buy it if I didn't have that to play soon). I can see it doing good sales on the switch though, thanks to a lack of assassin's creed on there.

I really liked the previous name, although I don't remember what it was. Gods and Monsters maybe?

That’s the one, apparently it had to be changed due to Monster Energy kicking up a fuss with trademarks.
