Finished this today. Loved every second of it. Really polished and stuffed with things to do. Not sure how much post game collecting I'll do.

I can’t see myself going back to get the majority of the collecting and side quests once I’ve finished off all 9 films, its a really good game, a lot of the humour is superb in the cutscenes but its not without its issues. As I’ve mentioned previously in this thread, with how many other games there are to play I’d find it hard to justify putting a lot more hours into this to get anywhere near 100%-ing it.

We've put a solid 8 hours in today in 2 player and still have 180 bricks left to get, plus all the actual levels to go back through :dread:

I actually can’t remember when I last put 8 hours into a game in one day  Don’t think I even did that with Legends Arceus.

Back on with this while watching Le Mans

Just got to Bespin and I can’t quite believe they went with Lando falling for C-3PO in a wig as the opening cutscene for the planet

I've only done Phantom Menace so far but the levels seem very quick and small. I guess a huge chunk of the game is finding all the collectables in the "hub" areas?

Enjoying it though. Last Lego game I played was the DC Villains one and I just couldn't get into that one as I didn't really care about the story/characters.

Yeah the majority of the levels are on the short side and a lot of the actual story content is in events in the overworld which I’m fine with but it’s just a shame you can’t fully replay a film with those one time scenes in, instead you can only replay the levels unlike the original complete saga.

I find the hub areas quite enjoyable to give them a once over, explore it all and pick up whatever Kyber crystals I can but I’m really not feeling the pull to head back to areas unless the story takes me back (so naturally there is a shed load of stuff on Tatooine  ).

Edit, playing this for the first time docked for a while and it doesn’t feel anywhere near as nice as in handheld for some reason, seems to just be a lot smoother playing handheld.

I seem to be getting a recurring bug on this as I get through the game, in that when I’ve finished a mission and it plays the cutscene at the end, it just freezes the game, had it happen once in The Force Awakens and twice in The Last Jedi so far.

Done, well done in that I’ve completed all 9 episodes worth of films. Ended up with about 500 Kyber Crystals and probably not far shy of 40 hours on the clock in the end, not really got the motivation to jump back in and seek out much more really. If I do anything I’ll probably just start a new game so I can experience all of the story content again as so much of it is a one time only thing.

Very enjoyable game on the whole, I still don’t see what going open world did for the game really, other than adding more collectibles to try and increase playtime, I still much preferred the old format of 6 levels per film. The space sections were very cool though, loved seeing each planet from space so definitely could have kept that portion in my opinion. The humour was spot on throughout even towards the end of the 9 films where the levels were pretty poor in comparison to earlier films. Well worth the wait on the whole though.

Also finished all nine episodes this week and it just reminded me how God awful the story is in the sequel trilogy.

Bad films or not (as personally, I like 2 out of the 3 of them), they could have done more with the levels in the last 2 films especially than what we actually got.

I found it utterly bizarre that they had a pretty long level based around those creatures Han was smuggling in TFA to then not have a level based on Kylo Ren and the stormtroopers attacking the lush, forest place. The latter would've been far more fun and interesting.

Even then I found the TFA levels much more enjoyable than TLJ and TROS, there wasn’t even a flying mission for the Crait battle in TLJ!
