40 minutes feels a little short to me for a really top Direct. We know ten minutes will be spent on existing software, and another ten minutes on revealing one JRPG.
Zelda will be here 100% in some capacity, but I still think BotW 2 is a March 2022 game.

The last few digital E3 Directs have been between 30-40 minutes so this is bang on point.
So I've found out since posting that. The last few E3 Directs have also been... highly variable, so can't make any assumptions from that!
Okay so that's ten minutes on existing titles, ten minutes on one JRPG, five minutes of Wii and Wii U ports, three minutes Smash, two minutes quickfire showcase, two minutes talking heads, leaving eight minutes of excuses for why BotW2 has been delayed to 2023.

You missed a token one sentence acknowledgment that Metroid exists but is nowhere near release.
