The upgrade is for the old 300 max weapons. It has no effect on 331. Have you just wasted a shard? There should be a closeout mechanism for new 331 weapons but there isnt and you can accidentally waste a shard. Bungie have strawberry floated this up.

It was on Thunderlord, that's pre-DLC isn't it?

Yes, but If Thunderlord dropped for you after the DLC patch it would have been 331 anyway.

To be fair the game shouldn't let you spend a shard on a weapons that's already max damage.

That new black Warlock helmet is nice, picked one up for my character along with the Ice Breaker finally!

I am tempted by Ice Breaker but I never, ever, ever use Sniper Rifles. I shouldn't want to buy things just because I don't have them, do I?

Now that's DESTINY!

bought the icebreaker then also bought the badger ccl from the vanguard and holy strawberry float the badger is amazing and i haven't even upgraded the perks yet but the impact and range is brilliant also the rof which i see some complaining about is perfectly fine. The perk i want though is the fast reload. Once i have that i will strawberry float people up in the crucible along with the Thorn and last word.

but it's a reload every 5 seconds, also if you let it reload fully then switch to another special you keep the ammo for that weapon i hear. The perks are also amazing.
