There's a multiple-choice quiz round, a 'fastest finger first' style quiz round, and a karaoke round, so you'll need a computer mic. The tiebreaker's a secret but it involves Don Mattrick in some way.

Just listening to the podcast now before the final. I totally forgot it was DML who voted who went out in that Rare review task in GGGC VII. Bah! I wonder how it would have done had it gone to the vote. Zenigame loved it, and he was a fine person of upstanding moral judgement. Especially as a few of the reviews were just like: "Perfect Dark - it was good 9/10" or "Banjo-Kazooie. Lovely Game. Must recommend". [/notbitter]

Still, irrelevant really, as I don't think I could have beaten Jay in the form he was in during GGGC VII.

Anyway, just finishing the final GGGC podcast.

"I don't want [GGGC] to go"

I guess the "regeneration" motif might be apt, should I have my way.

Starting to get properly nervous now.

Also, for the record, I don't think I entered GGGV. I certainly can't remember it. Do you keep a digital record of past competitions, or was it all just left to be archived on the forums?

Saying that, I thought I had been in two competitions before winning GGGC VI. But, then again, I thought the World Cup one was GGGC III and I missed either IV or V.

As mentioned, I can remember being knocked out by my Burnout 3 "review" in the World Cup, my Starfox Adventures "review" in GGGC VII (one day all reviews will be written as travel guides, I swear it), by my Goomba Ghetto track in GGGC VIII, and by finishing fourth out of the six yellow team members in GGGC IX. What was the writing task in that again? I remember the flash games and Pointless task from that, but not much else.

I thought Diabolito's Melting Pot entry was good too. Quite a few entries outscored it, which I felt were far inferior. I thought he did a lot with it, and it actually sounded like a workable game too. A bit like that song in Ouendan with the violinist with the squits, coupled with Ikaruga.

EDIT - Also, had I not seen the Only Connect final, I would agree with people thinking he was a surprise contestant. But, he's been in the competition a few times now and knows what to expect, and has demonstrated good knowledge. I must admit, I would have rather have had the Ralph task, personally.

As, speaking for myself, the final is a massive unknown quantity. I can't remember when Dala went out in GGGC VI, but I've never faced any of these players in a general knowledge round. I'm presuming Dala was there in GGGC VI, but he wasn't in the final.

I'm the only one posting. I think the other three aren't going to even show up.

*Hopes none of the other Mods check the Ban List*

Also, on the podcast DML is currently mentioning cancelling plans to make the final.

I blew off my girlfriend for tonight. She thinks I am doing post-grad Uni applications (which I will be later, but still...).

I hope I don't get JK'd for this.
