Well, this puts me in a bind.
Last night Captain Kinopio threw his toys out of the pram and I had a post lined up and ready to go. I held back.
My post was accusing Drumstick.
Drummy, you're asking why I'm being quieter than in previous games. Well, unlike you I don't have the luxury of safety.
I have held back deliberately because I want to survive! What happened in Are You A Hitman?:

You forgot the golden rule of these games.
Never ever ever ever be helpful.
I thought it would be really unhelpful for me to post loads on Day One, because it creates potential dead ends. Let's say I accused someone, then was killed Night One - Day Two is then spent discussing whether I was killed because I threw suspicion on that player? Or as a double bluff? It really isn't helpful. I didn't vote to lynch because there was no good case to lynch. I "didn't vote on legislation" because I was trying to play in character (as believe it or not, it is possible to enjoy these games even if you're a vanilla villager [assuming you survive!] ) and my obvious allegiance to the Internal Affairs Act was disregarded by everyone desperate to maintain a quote chain, despite the fact that the thread was moving quickly and edits were prohibited.
I deliberately asked you outright, Drumstick, why you sought election as Speaker, because an answer other than self preservation would have been a red flag for me. But you said self preservation, and so I was relieved - because that's been my motivation so far too, and you and I have previously been killed early in these games.
I'd like to think of it as a compliment - you get killed early, it's because you're decent! - but it's still frustrating. But likewise, though I suspected you yesterday, I decided against making this suspicion public, because if you are a regular parliamentarian, it's a weapon for the Conformists to use (they kill me - Thread: "Dan suspected Drummy!" - thread kills Drummy - kill potentially wasted).
I've not really got a choice now but to present the case I had against you. Which as Moggy points out, looks a bit silly and reactive
But you are genuinely a good player of these games - so to present a "case" against me, on Day Two, which is partly built on
the last game, and to present it as a Megaton? Well, that is pretty suspicious, so I need to give the public all my thoughts, in case I do end up killed at your direction.
(Oh, and should it need to be said - I am a humble parliamentarian.)
Drumstick is a former gamerunner. As am I. Upon seeing CK throw a strop last night, my first thought was "that's disappointing, and really rude to OR". I would expect normal Drummy to say something similar. Instead he... just encouraged CK to do what he was proposing. That didn't seem right to me.
As I've said previously, I spent a lot of time watching Drumstick's posts in the last game, waiting to see if he'd find my hidden message and share it. When he didn't I suspected he was a Hitman, and started observing what I thought was a change in his usual posting tone. Yesterday, I perceived that same change.
For example - in the late game, when the village was arguing the case against several suspected Hitmen but the game was almost already lost, Drumstick got very vocal and very defensive. That kind of righteous (but faux) outrage has already been in play this time - yesterday (IIRC) he said that Conformists being able to PM already was a "hill I'll f*cking die on". Seems extreme for day one!
Drummy is Mr Target Inactives yet in a game where ruleset changes sexist to specifically force inactives to post, he hasn't mentioned them once, despite being the most active player in the thread at present.
My theory (Which I was planning to hold onto but now cannot): Drumstick is a Conformist, and they cannot PM one another. Thus to obtain control of the Speaker office now would be easier than later in the game, and might allow him to build trust under the guise of democracy. If he is not killed in the night he can dismiss it as a double bluff.
If Drumstick knew more about the game than the rest of us beforehand - because his role PM contained more info than ours - then it would explain why he was confident in being able to declare his day 1 candidacy on page 1 while most of the rest of us were still reading all of OrangeRKN's posts!
I'm going into a 3pm meeting now but I'll be back ASAP to defend mysekf further
