I agree to an extent, but really with the hackability of the Wii (legal implications aside of course) the fact that there are still some big games and licensed games missing from the service doesn't really matter that much to me.

I do hope it's something they carry forward into the future though - especially if they extend it to Gamecube stuff next gen and maybe even have some kind of PSP style interaction with the 3DS...

Yeah, I've modded my Wii to include a SNES emulator.

Nintendo need to realise they are competing with piracy here and be a little more forthcoming with the virtual console releases. Let's be honest it's just an emulator and a ROM, there's nothing technical from them putting the entire back catalogue online day 1.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Why would people want Lucky Dime Caper?

The later levels were buggered due to massive collision detection which results in instant deaths. An enemy that's over half a screen away will manage to kill you.

I tried and tried so many times to finish it but the bugs won.

I see they are skipping Mario Party 1 because of the rotate the stick minigames which caused Nintendo to issue out gloves.

I'd buy Mario Party 3 if they released it; I missed the game on the N64 due to not being able to find it.

I'd prefer to buy it for its native system, though, but that's not much of an option in light of the asking price.

The Disney games on the NES (Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck), Master System (Land of Illusion, Lucky Dime Caper) and Mega Drive (Castle/World of Illusion, Quackshot) were amazing, they were actually really good games.

Don't forget Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers on the NES. I strawberry floating loved that game.

Same here. That's the only N64 game left that I never played but still want to.

Just found out that the C64 game Jumpman is available on Virtual Console. That was one of my first ever games, loved it as a kid. God bless Virtual Console.

I've been away from this for a while but while rounding up Stars from my recent purchases on Club Nintendo I discovered the SNES Classic Controller in the store for 7000 stars! These things are going for £55+ on ebay and I must have one! I have 1900 stars which I was going to convert into Virtual Console currency but now I think I have to get this. It's such a tease that the site doesn't have a buy it now feature..

Any code donations via PM are very welcome :o

So Natsume Championship Wrestling came out last week. I didn't buy it.

Still no Pilotwings 64, Yoshi's Island, Axelay, Illusion of Time :(

This was such a missed opportunity by Nintendo.

Final Fantasy VI is coming to VC in Europe next week :o

Ages ago, evil beings created powerful creatures called Espers and unleashed them against each other. The resulting battles left their world in smouldering rubble. Legend has it, the Espers destroyed themselves and most of humanity.

Magic disappeared forever.

Centuries have passed and a rational world now exists with Espers living only in myths, until one frozen solid since the ancient wars is unearthed. Suddenly, there are reports of magic attacks on civilians. Imperial Commandos launch raids using magic-powered MagiTek weapons. Magic is obviously alive and the world is in danger again.

Who or what is behind the rediscovery and redeployment of this legendary power? What chaotic plans exist that will wreak havoc on this orderly world?

Originally released as FINAL FANTASY III on SNES in North America, this game is in fact FINAL FANTASY VI from the main series chronology.

Pilotwings 64 is a very difficult game to get working properly on emulators. I think Paradigm used some undocumented stuff to make it work on N64.

I managed to get it working without hassle last time I downloaded it on ROM :shifty: Not sure where I got ROM from, though. The only problem was controls (keyboard is gooseberry fool for Pilotwings). I'd rather them to put in effort for it - I really want to play Pilotwings 64 again but can't find space to set up Nintendo 64.
