He was still using an unsecured phone to Tweet from, last I checked (shades of Hillary's Blackberries...). How hasn't it been hacked?!

Putin would be angry if anyone hacked Trumps phone so why would anyone want that?

He probably got there first TBH. :shifty:

Putin doesn't need to hack into Trumps phone he's already hacked into his heart.

Wish he strawberry floating would.

Gorsuch has been selected as Trump's SCOTUS pick. He's a justice in the Scalian mold, and his appointment wouldn't change the ideological makeup of the court all that much. However, the centrist justice Anthony Kennedy, and liberal justices Ruth Bader-Ginsberg and Stephen Breyer, may all leave the bench in Trump's term(s) - Kennedy may retire as early as this year. This would lead to generations of conservative rule over the court and possibly the overturning of Roe v Wade.

I'm surprised Trump didn't just nominate himself.

Russian cybersecurity experts have been arrested and charged with treason, and links to the CIA.

Two of Moscow’s top cybersecurity officials are facing treason charges for cooperating with the CIA, according to a Russian news report.

The accusations add further intrigue to a mysterious scandal that has had the Moscow rumour mill working in overdrive for the past week, and come not long after US intelligence accused Russia of interfering in the US election and hacking the Democratic party’s servers.

Sergei Mikhailov was deputy head of the FSB security agency’s Centre for Information Security. His arrest was reported in a series of leaks over the past week, along with that of his deputy and several civilians, but Tuesday’s news went much further.

“Sergei Mikhailov and his deputy, Dmitry Dokuchayev, are accused of betraying their oath and working with the CIA,” Interfax said, quoting a source familiar with the investigation.

It is unlikely the news agency would have published the story without official sanction, though this does not necessarily mean the information is true.

The story did not make it clear whether the pair were accused of being CIA agents or merely passing on information through intermediaries.

You're making that dossier look more and more real with all this cloak and dagger gooseberry fool, Putin.

More fake news from the failing Guardian. The CIA doesn't do that kind of thing, except maybe during the Obama administration, which we all know was WEAK on cyber security, and you know I've seen Lawnmower man, so I know this stuff. My kid, Baron, Baron Trump, great kid, he's a whizz on computers and if he says this isn't real then that's good enough for me and the American people. I don't even know Putin, I've never even grabbed his wife's pussy. Sad!

The first military action Trump okayed lead to the deaths of one of the SEALs involved and the daughter of an Al Qaeda member who was 8 years old and an American citizen. So it's free propaganda for them.

"Almost everything went wrong," a senior US military official told NBC News of the operation, which was the first clandestine strike approved by President Donald Trump.

And now it's been discovered that Obama had previously blocked the plan from being executed

The operation was launched to gather intelligence on suspected operations by al-Qaida in the Arabian peninsula (AQAP), according to Colonel John Thomas, a spokesman for US Central Command. Planning for the raid “started months before”, under Barack Obama’s administration, but was “not previously approved”, he said.

Thomas said he did not know why the prior administration did not authorize the operation, but said the Obama administration had effectively exercised a “pocket veto” over it.

Total strawberry floating mess, and don't forget this Trump quote
“The other thing with the terrorists is you have to take out their families, when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families,”

Did everything go wrong or was trump happy with the result. I would imagine Obama ruled it out as he felt the risk of us casulties was too high whilst trump probably thought it was worth the risk and that soldiers know that their lives are at risk etc.. I can imagine him being fine with the result.

Not so sure. I'm pretty sure any president has no choice but to trust the advice of their generals. That said, one of the main points of executive oversight is to reign in the military when it is being overzealous. There is no way to know what transpired unless you have access to these meetings, which very top level and necessarily secret. Ultimately it's about whether you have faith in the command.... which in this case is clearly not the case! Trump has shown himself to be incompetent in every other aspect of governance so I don't have any faith in his military judgement to say the least.

Could do with a second source on this story:

AOL News wrote:Report: In a 'humiliating' and 'threatening' tone, Trump lambasted Mexico's president during phone call

During a phone call with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Friday, President Donald Trump reportedly disparaged Mexico and threatened to use military force against the drug trade, according to Washington, DC-based journalist Dolia Estevez.

In an interview with Mexican news outlet Aristegui Noticias, Estevez, who cited sources on both sides of the call, said "it was a very offensive conversation where Trump humiliated Peña Nieto."
