There are 2 pieces of DLC confirmed.

Currently running through NG+ to grab the upgraded rings. Sitting at SL110 so right in PvP range. I'm having some half decent fights now, but a lot of people don't seem to understand hyper armour and just come an facefuck me with their katana on my startup. Throw out a swing to miss and bait then follow up for a trade into stunlock. It's amazing how often it works, often on the same guy.

Ive only just worked out how to do the counters :slol: My character is level 78 i think. Move round the back as they attack and theres a standard animation for it isn't there? 1 hit kill most of the time too.

I had similar issues with BB and its parry system, I just couldn't get used to it.

Also, wtf is hyper armour?

Basically with some weapons if you get hit during the attack you get knocked out of the animation. But with heavier weapons you generally just carry on with it.

Means if people get greedy with light weapons vs heavy weapons there's a trade with the dex guy getting stunned at the end. Usually you can get 2 greatsword swings on a trade with a katana swing

So I've been doing a lot of bosses with help and good god it improves the experience, so much more fun and less soul crushing.

Killed Aldrich after nearly running out of embers at the shops completely :x Killed Leonhard :datass: The dancer was a piece of piss, now I end up at Lothric Castle, where everyone is some sort of mini boss, took an off ramp towards some sort of gardens level? Full of toxic gooseberry fool and those strawberry floating knights :(

RIP in peace in peace in peace in peace Glowys character.

Are you finding embers out in the world, Glowy? I found loads but only ever used them when near a boss gate. Never ran out of 'em in Firelink either because I only ever bought two or three in my whole playthrough.

Yeah I had loads, took me a few hour to understand what they did :fp: At one point I think I had double figures, but I was using them to help me through the boss fights, then the invasions started. So I had to decide if i took on the boss on my own, with no ember and no threat or risked the invasion and got some help.

This ended in me not having much left

This Souls game has been a learning curve, I tried to play it like bloodborne and you cannot. It took me a while to learn the dodge and roll to execute from the back, but it is much much more difficult that BB, I havent enjoyed it any less. I think I could have built my character differently. But I might go into NG+ and re assign my skills if i can do that? Or would I have to start again?

I help others with a boss fight to get my humanity back. Got loads of embers spare now lol.

Got to snowy valley last night. Too spooky for me so going to kill the worm in catacombs instead. Need to work out how to stop catapult from getting me though.

Kill the worm from distance with arrows, takes a while and its cheap but you can hide behind the towers while you do it, then make your way up to the ballista(sp)

Good luck with that. :dread:

You get invaded near bosses?! That never happened to me. I'd have totally rage quit that gooseberry fool. Biggest issue I faced at boss gate was nabbing a sign in time and it not popping up with summon failed, etc.

I ran past the worm and let the ballista arrows damage it.

Yeah its happened a few times, at first i thought it was AI but you can tell how they move that they're not. And the bit before Anor Londo. Jesus strawberry floating christ. Thats where most of my embers went, as I couldn't get up the towers, the hired help weren't much better, falling off and running off to kill the giants.

Has anyone been invaded by someone called fashion police? I just heard about him on a podcast and it sounds amazing.

Any hints for the PvP stuff, I invade someone elses world, only to get utterly mashed :| Are there areas I should be looking for, does the covenant i follow prefer invading certain areas?

The Aldrich Faithful covenant that summons you as an invader after Pontiff is always fun.

And to get summoned I use the red stone to lay down my name?
